Barcelona

-17 °C

Barcelona was great. Although we were exhausted from the flight and all the walking we did around the city, the sights, sounds, smells (some, not all) and tastes of Barcelona kept us going strong. Some of the sights we took in included Camp Nou, the Barcelona Futbol stadium, Gaudi's impressive works, and the famous Barcelona outdoor market. Some of the delicious flavors we tried included manchego cheese, fresh baguettes, jamon serrano, fresh "dorado" fish, and crema catalana (the Catalan version of creme brulee). One particularly fun experience was watching the finals of the Champions League soccer tournament in a Spanish restaurant while having (or trying to have) dinner - our waiters were too busy watching the game to serve us!
