Provence: Carces, Cotignac, Cannes

Day Three

We spent our third night at a different B&B in the town of Carces, which is a little further east in Provence. The B&B was a similarly quaint and beautiful home with similarly impressive landscapes. We were surrounded by miles of olive groves and vineyards that were interspersed by patches of red roses. We stopped in Cotignac (yet another charming town) for yet another delicious meal - fish soup, bread with aioli and cheese, veal, and raspberry cake.

We then proceeded to Cannes, which happened to be hosting the film festival during this time, although we were there on its last day. We were to say the least under-dressed amongst others dressed in tuxedos and expensive-looking dresses. After getting our fill with Cannes, we headed back to Cotignac for dinner, as it was one of the few towns with a few restaurants open for Sunday dinner. Because we were so close to Italy, we decided pizza would be a good choice; and it was!
